Christopher Brown-Syed PhD
Christopher Brown-Syed holds a PhD in Information Studies, and a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Toronto, as well as a Master's in Philosophy, and a Bachelor's in Fine Arts (Film production), from York University in Toronto.
He is currently Visiting Assistant Professor in the University at Buffalo, and has lectured at Wayne State University, and the Universities of Toronto, Illinois, and Arizona. His professional work has involved library automation, archives, and film and television production. His research deals with the impact of media upon LIS and scholarship in general, and often employs Soft Systems Methodology. He is the Editor of the journal Library & Archival Security.
While familiar with various computer languages and platforms, he prefers UNIX environments. Chris once took part in a Commonwealth Expedition, overland from England to India.
